The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home using a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined house profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not post any proof of income.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.
NSFAS nsfas check only funds people who are finding out or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
